Further Visits To The Train Simulator

Just like our last visit, three people planned to go but one was unable to face it at the last minute. But the person who did that last time, made it this time round.

The FGW people were very welcoming and very keen to help. I shall leave it to the people who attended to give their view of the day - they were very brave and now know what the noises you hear on a train are. One person was able to have a go on the controls and 'drive' the 'train' and blow the horn.

The simulator is actually a room kitted out just like a driver's cab. If anyone else wants to go, please let me know. I know of two people who want to use the simulator when they have done a bit more work. The thing you most need to prepare for is the noise of the trains on Reading station as it's the only route to the simulator. Even I am much more aware of the tremendous noise of the power car.
