Legal Issues: The MIB
Know your rights when dealing with the MIB.
- Someone told me her solicitor had not yet arranged for her counselling fees to be reimbursed by MIB so she is owed a year's sessions. We suggest if any others are in this position you chase them up and let them know that the clients of some solicitors in Newbury have never had to pay anything themselves for therapy or other treatments such as osteopathy.
- Did you know that MIB will pay for orthopaedic mattresses and special chairs etc (for home and work) to make life more comfortable for people with injuries? Several people have benefited from this.
- At least one solicitor is taking positive action to ensure promised interim payments are paid. This will help alleviate the severe financial situation the people involved find themselves in. Contact Liz if you want more information.
