Choosing A Solicitor

We have become aware of the massive differences between solicitors from brilliant to downright rude. Some of our networkers have had a whole range of medical and emotional help paid for from counselling to osteopathy and fitness programmes. Others are paying for everything or are on long NHS waiting lists. What's your experience?

We have a list of solicitors 'along the line' who have proven experience of working with major incidents and rail crashes. Let us have details of any good ones to add to our list.

We have asked Chris Felton, a Newbury solicitor who was on the steering group of solicitors representing survivors of the Ladbroke Grove crash. to list some questions to help you answer the question...

Is Your Solicitor Working Well For You?

  1. What experience does your solicitor have in these types of claim? They are unique and are very different from other injury claims.
  2. Does your solicitor have a strong support network readily available for you to cover medical needs as well as any pressing financial concerns as a result of being unable to work.
  3. How dedicated is your solicitor in putting your needs first - your needs getting fast and effective access to rehabilitation services for recovery in all aspects of your life affected by the crash.
  4. How closely does your solicitor keep in touch with treatment providers and understand things from YOUR perspective.

Finding a Solicitor

The Network can give you names of solicitors along the line who have experience of major incidents. If you are not happy with your solicitor, YOU CAN GO ELSEWHERE. We also want to hear from you about good solicitors so we can add names to the list. We can pass on facts and experiences from information received but the final decision about who you choose must be yours.
